Vikas Anand received his Ph.D. from Arizona State University, and an MBA in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. He also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and a Master's Degree in Physics. His major areas of research include corruption and ethics in organizations, knowledge management in organizations, and trends in the globalization of business practices such as outsourcing.

He has published and presented his work on business ethics and knowledge management in several research and practitioner outlets such as the Academy of Management Review, Research in Organizational Behavior, Academy of Management Executive and so on. Prior to his academic career, he was a manager in two large multi-national corporations and worked extensively on marketing and strategic planning positions in various parts of Africa and Asia. He has taught at the undergraduate, MBA, and Ph. D. levels and has given lectures on aspects of international business in several countries around the world. His research has included working with several large multinational corporations with respect to business process outsourcing and inter-cultural issues. He was the recipient of the Walton College of Business Award in 2007, and the University of Arkansas Teaching Excellence Award in 2008, and currently serves as the Management Department's Doctoral Program Coordinator.

2. Dr. Svjetlana Madzar, Associate Professor, University of Minnesota, USA.

Dr. Svjetlana Madzar, PhD is a Senior Lecturer in the Strategic Management and Organization department at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management and focuses on High Performance Organizations. She teaches International Management and Management of Groups courses in the MBA and executive MBA programs. She leads the virtual team project in the Global Executive MBA program and also teaches in this program in Warsaw, Poland. Prior to joining CSOM, she was an associate professor at Gustavus Adolphus College. Svjetlana has worked with a variety of multinational corporations on issues related to managing across cultures and has held visiting appointments in MBA and executive programs at European business schools such as HEC (France) and Instituto de Empresa (Spain). She recently taught in Fortune Institute of International Business in Delhi, India. Her research focuses on subordinate information seeking behavior in cross-cultural contexts. She is a recipient of a 2002-2004 National Science Foundation grant which allowed her to study the differences between US, Italian, Spanish, French, and British subordinate information seeking patterns of employees working for a large U.S.-based multinational company. Svjetlana earned her doctoral and master degrees from the University of Minnesota. She is a member of the Academy of Management and Academy of International Business.

 

3. Dr. Alan E. Ellstrand, University of Arkansas

Alan received his Ph.D. in strategic management from Indiana University in 1995, an MBA from Northern Illinois University in 1989, and a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Illinois in 1977. Before joining the faculty in the Walton College, he spent five years as an assistant professor at California State University, Long Beach. Prior to entering the doctoral program at IU, Alan held various positions with the Internal Revenue Service in Chicago, Illinois.

Alan became the Director of MBA Programs at the Walton College in June 2003. In this capacity he administers the full-time and managerial MBA programs. He has taught a variety of management courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Alan's primary research interests are focused on corporate governance, top management teams and the influence of the political system on business operations. His research has appeared in the Academy of Management Journal, the Strategic Management Journal, the Journal of Management and the Journal of International Management as well as other peer-reviewed journals.

 

4. Dr. Ravi Patnayakuni, Associate Professor, Dept of Management Information Systems, UAH college of Business Administration, Albama

Dr. Ravi Patnayakuni joined UAH in the Summer of 2004. Prior to his current appointment, he held positions at the Temple University, Philadelphia and The University of Melbourne, Australia. Dr. Ravi Patnayakuni received his DBA from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale after completing his dissertation titled, "IT Enabled Work Systems: The Infusion of IT Innovations."

Dr. Ravi Patnayakuni's research focuses on how organizations and institutions adopt, implement, and use IT to generate value. He Has worked on research issues like Business Value of IT Investments, Adoption and Implementation of IT and IT Platform impacts on Supply Chains. His research has been published in MIS Quarterly, JMIS, JAIS, Communications of the ACM, Information Systems Journal and DSS among others. He is currently working on projects relating to adoption of course management systems and the role of institutional forces in supply chain integration.

Dr. Patnayakuni was awarded the Billings Faculty Fellow for the year 2008-2009 and Witmondt Faculty Fellow for the year 2006-2007 at the College of Business Administration at UAHuntsville.

6. Prof. D.K.Malhora, Professor, University of Philadelphia

D.K. Malhotra is a professor of finance and coordinator of the International Business Trip to Asia. He joined Philadelphia University in 1993 after obtaining his Ph.D. degree in finance at the University of Alabama.

Dr. Malhotra teaches courses in Derivative Securities, Fixed Income Securities, International Finance, and Investment and Portfolio Management at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

His research interests are interest rate swaps, currency swaps, credit derivatives, mutual funds, and application of neural network and neuro-fuzzy techniques in finance. Dr. Malhotra has published over 50 research articles in such journals as European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of Financial Research, Financial Review, European Journal of Finance, Quarterly Journal of Business and Economics, Journal of Economics and Finance, Journal of Multinational Financial Management, Journal of Retail Banking, The Real Estate Finance Journal, The International Journal of Finance, Journal of Intelligent Systems, Advances in Futures and Options Research, Journal of Commercial Lending, Journal of Global Business and Journal of Lending and Credit Risk Management. He is currently the editor-in-chief of The Global Journal of Finance and Management and co-editor of The International Journal of Finance.

In addition, he has presented over 35 research papers at various academic conferences all over the world. The New York Times, Investor’s Business Daily and The Philadelphia Inquirer have quoted Dr. Malhotra on such wide-ranging topics as mutual fund expenses, declining value of the euro, and merger of Core States Bank with First Union Bank. Dr. Malhotra’s biographical profile has been included in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry and Who’s Who in the East. He was also the recipient of 1999 President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching at Philadelphia University, and received the School of Business Administration’s award for excellence in research for two consecutive years.
